Progression

My plan for the end of this college year is to go into full time work. During theses last 3 years at college I feel I have gathered enough information and skills to finally move on and start my career. There are many places of interest for me in and around Whitstable such as photo and art galleries, vintage shops and small boutiques. For the next year I plan to stay at home with my family whilst I gather up enough money to get out and start my life with my other half. In the future I would be very happy if I managed to secure myself a career as a photographer, journalist, artist or graphic designer of some sort.  I have a huge passion for making and creating art whether it’s a poster, picture or a pillow I would love to design something. I also love writing and my ideal job would be a photographer/journalist for a newspaper, magazine or website.

New Vintage Type Poster

These are a couple of Vintage Type Posters i have created for the book, "New Vintage Type" by Steven Heller & Gail Anderson. I created these posters using a programme called illustrator and then placed in my background image. The font's i have used in these posters were all found on Dafont.com.

Helvetica Type Posters

Here are my Helvetica typeface based posters. Using short words from the titles of the books we are to research into in this type project have have created type based posters using the Helvetica font. The first poster is for the book 'thinking with type' i'm really pleased with the way this one came out because i love the negative space where the P meets the E it creates a kind of knife shape. The second poster is for the book 'watching words move' so i have positioned the letters over the page as is they are moving.
